Friends...it is July 3rd. Wow.
For the last 2 months my heart has been aloof in my decision to move to Utah. I love Trinity Jordan, Ryan Lind, Brandon Irwin, the whole team. But God placed a spiritual 'stint' in my heart again for students.
He took me back to the place I was called and what it was exactly I was called to do. He took me past the 10 years it had been since I was called, the mistakes and dreams I had made for myself. He took me back to the altar...near the same spot where he called me almost 10 years ago.
Students...students...students...students...that was the beat of my heart that night. Although I was only 12 years old, I knew beyond a doubt that was what HE called me to do. 10 years can cloud a man's vision with opportunities abroad if a man will allow it.
After God showed me some things, he confirmed them in a MAJOR way. His plan months ago it seemed in the mind of one Godly man was for me to lead his student ministry. In my flesh I turned it down...I didn't desire to regress home.
God brought Him back in the midst of my loneliness in a valley of endless decision. He used this man to show me Again His will for me.
So now you may all know...
God threw me a changeup...and allowed me to hit a homerun!
Effective Sunday July 2nd, 2006 I have been offered and accepted the position as Youth Pastor at Calvary Assembly in Demotte, Indiana. Friends I know Utah seemed appealing, but in God's timing He has opened and closed the doors for me. I praise Him for that.
I will be moving north to Demotte, a town of about 6,000 people 1 hour SE of Chicago in about 1 1/2 months. Please pray for me I'll need it.
Pray for Elevation church in Layton, Utah...I know God will bless them mightily whoever works with them.
